Invisalign is a treatment method that straightens teeth by wearing nearly transparent mouthpiece-type orthodontic devices (aligners) on the teeth. Custom-made aligners are created for each individual's teeth, and by wearing them and replacing them with new aligners according to the treatment stage, teeth are gradually moved to correct alignment.
Compared to traditional wire braces, Invisalign tends to be less noticeable and less painful, and because the orthodontic devices are removable, oral hygiene can be maintained.

Does Invisalign orthodontics take longer than wire braces?
The general speed at which teeth move per month is said to be not much different between wire braces and Invisalign orthodontics. With Invisalign orthodontics, teeth can move up to 0.25mm per aligner. 0.25mm×4w＝1mm (1mm in 4 weeks). With wire braces, teeth are also said to move about 1mm on average every 4 weeks. There is no significant difference between the two.

Is Invisalign orthodontics suitable for all types of teeth alignment?
Invisalign orthodontics is suitable for various cases from mild to moderate and complex malocclusions. However, there are cases where only Invisalign orthodontics is performed and cases where it is performed in combination with wire braces. This is because using only one method would extend the treatment period when comparing the two. Since it is necessary to understand the merits and demerits before making a choice, please consult with us for details.
I have cavities, wisdom teeth, and gum swelling/pain. Can I get Invisalign orthodontics?
Before performing Invisalign orthodontics, it is necessary to improve the oral condition and resolve problems such as cavities and periodontal disease. Regarding wisdom teeth, it is necessary to take X-rays once to confirm the condition and determine whether extraction would be better.
