Examination
We check the health condition of your mouth.
We examine your teeth alignment and previous treatment areas while checking each tooth individually for plaque and tartar. We also thoroughly check the condition of your gums, mucous membranes, and tongue!
Intraoral Photography
We take photographs inside your mouth.
We always take intraoral photographs during the initial examination so that patients can clearly see the condition of their mouth with their own eyes. This also allows us to compare with previous conditions.
X-rays
We check bone conditions that cannot be seen visually!
People with advanced periodontal disease may have dissolved alveolar bone that supports the teeth. We thoroughly check the condition of teeth, including alveolar bone and cavities that cannot be seen with the naked eye, through X-ray examination.
Counseling
We explain the condition of your mouth while looking at the photographs and X-rays taken in step 2.
While looking at the oral photographs and X-rays taken, we explain in an easy-to-understand manner where problems exist and what treatment methods would be best. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have.
Plaque Disclosing
We check plaque and missed spots with disclosing agents!
We use disclosing agents to color plaque and check whether you're brushing properly and if there are any brushing habits. This is called PCR (Plaque Control Record), which shows the percentage of areas with remaining plaque. Let's aim for a PCR of 20% or below!
Brushing Instruction
We explain "self-care" tailored to each individual patient.
We provide advice on home self-care based on individual brushing habits. The condition of teeth and gums varies completely from person to person. We also prescribe toothbrushes suitable for each individual ★
